Shell Rotella® ELC HD Extended Life is high-performance coolant designed for Heavy Duty Diesel, Gasoline, Natural Gas and LNG engines. Designed to meet the challenges:

Superior metal protection - Outstanding corrosion protection of aluminum, iron, and copper in ASTM testing. Prevention of scale and silicate gel formation - Silicate and phosphate free formulation to reduce the likelihood of silicate gel and scale formation, which also helps reduce water pump failures and optimize heat transfer. Superior elastomer protection (2-EHA free) - Preserves hoses, seals, and gaskets to prevent coolant leakage.
OEM Specifications and Approvals for Shell Rotella® ELC Heavy Duty Coolant
Shell Rotella® ELC HD Meets all the requirements of ASTM D3306 (LD), D4985 and D6210 (HD). Fully meets CAT EC-1 requirements and has Cummins OEM approvals (CES14603 & CES14439). CES14603 is the coolant specification that covers majority of the engines produced by Cummins, including off-road and on-road applications. Silicate, Borate & Phosphate-free
Formulated with modern organic additive technology (OAT) and molybdate, which provides superior corrosion protection compared to conventional fully formulated coolants.
Contains no 2-EHA chemical which is required by some European OEMs.
Applications and Compatibility
Ready to use and designed for HD Diesel, Gasoline, and Natural Gas engines. Compatible with other coolants - Proven compatibility with similarly formulated (OAT) coolants for easier top-up and maintenance. Help reduce downtime and enable higher equipment utilization with operational endurance.
